THE WIFE OF GOD
“I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets….And Jacob fled into the country of Syria, AND ISRAEL SERVED FOR A WIFE, and for a wife he kept sheep. And by a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.” Hosea 12:10, 12, 13.
“I did know thee in the wilderness, in the land of great drought ….Therefore I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard by the way will I observe them….O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; BUT IN ME IS THINE HELP.” Hosea 13:5, 7, 9.
“Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The Lord hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name …. And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified…. And now, saith the Lord that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the Lord, and my God shall be my strength. And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth. Thus saith the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the Lord that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee …. But Zion said, The Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me. Can a woman forget her suckling child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.” Isa. 49:1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 14, 15.
“Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to thee. As I live, saith the Lord, thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them on thee, as a bride doeth. For thy waste and thy desolate places, and the land of thy destruction, shall even now be too narrow by reason of the inhabitants, and they that swallowed thee up shall be far away. The children which thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place is too strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell. Then shalt thou say in thine heart, Who hath begotten me these, seeing I have lost my children, and am desolate, a captive, and removing to and fro? and who hath brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where had they been? Thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.” Isa. 49:18-22.
“Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married. For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee; and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.” Isa. 62:3-5.
“Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth. And I will cause the captivity of JUDAH and the captivity of ISRAEL to RETURN and will build them, AS AT THE FIRST…. Thus saith the Lord; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say shall be desolate without man and without beast… in the streets of Jerusalem….the voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride…. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the Lord …. Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah. In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David …. ln those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith SHE shall be called, The Lord our righteousness.” Jer. 33:6, 7, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16.
1
Genesis 1:26, 27. The creation of Adam and Eve revealed TWO IMAGES of God on the earth–MALE AND FEMALE, and was prophetic of the future revelation of two members of the Godhead as two separate Persons, male and female: in the first instance, of the Father and Holy Spirit as two separate Persons, male and female, and in the second, Christ and the Holy Spirit as two separate Persons, male and female.
The symbolism in the creation of Adam first pointed to the coming of a second Adam (1 Cor. 15:45) “as one Person” Who would reveal the male and female images of God in Himself and the Holy Spirit WHOM HE ANNOUNCED would come in His name.
As the first Adam represented “two” in one person, “in” the beginning, the second Adam represented “two” in one person “at” the beginning of His ministry on earth. But unlike the first Adam He was not separated into two persons “as one,” (Gen. 2:24), male and female. “And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water; and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him.” Matt. 3:16. The dove symbolized the Holy Spirit anointing Him.
INDEED, He prophesied of “another” to come in His Own name Who would lead us into all this Truth-even the “Comforter” Who is the Holy Ghost (John 14:26). Yet, He said He had many things to say concerning the Holy Spirit, but His disciples were so dull of hearing that He left it to the “COMFORTER” to reveal all the rest of the truth on the subject of the Holy Spirit (Heb. 5:10, 11).
Nevertheless, the Aramaic language in the original Peshitta texts in which the New Testament was originally written, confirms the truth that the Holy Spirit SHE is the One Who prays for us as our Intercessor, and that “Christ ALSO is our Intercessor.” “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh INTERCESSION for us with groanings which cannot be uttered….Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh INTERCESSION for us.” Rom. 8:26, 34.
These verses plainly teach that there are TWO INTERCESSORS, one male (the second Adam) and one FEMALE (Holy Spirit). Besides the Peshitta texts in Aramaic, countless other sources including the Hebrew language show a feminine representation of Deity in the Trinity in the Genesis account of creation.
We are to understand that in every generation Elohim reveals the “unknown” truths about Themselves and that because of willing ignorance the majority of the so-called learned reject the Truth and thus commit the unpardonable sin against the Holy Spirit.
The most graphic account is found in the record of the flood in Noah’s day. 2
“But as were the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the son of man be.” Matt. 24:37, 39. The same conditions still prevail in this generation.
As the antediluvians rejected the message of Noah’s preaching, so also will the post-diluvian world reject the antitypical message of Noah by the Spirit in this generation. Howbeit a remnant of man and beast shall escape the earth’s destruction by fire (a symbol of the Holy Spirit).
The Second Adam, the Son, was revealed to the angels, first in Heaven, and was a Spiritual Being given all power by the Father and The Holy Spirit.
Lucifer, the highest created angel, became jealous and rebelled when not taken into the Divine Council in Their plans to create Two Images of God on earth. There was war in Heaven when Lucifer rebelled against the appointment of The Son as Supreme Commander over the Heavenly Host. The result: Satan and his host were cast out of Heaven.
As a result of sin brought forth of Lucifer, the first masculine image of God, the Father, a plan was devised whereby the original state of perfection could be restored in Heaven and the vacancy filled that was left when Lucifer and a third of the angels defected from the Heavenly Government.
When Lucifer saw Adam with Eve, an helpmeet in the Image of God, he was more envious than before and determined to destroy her perfection and thus conquer Adam, usurp his kingship over all of the creation, and set himself up as King and guardian of the Tree of Life–an immortal sinner. Made in the Image of God, male and female, but not separated to become two persons as an Adam and Eve, Lucifer could not reproduce himself, but had to content himself with corrupting the Image of God in Adam and Eve and their children to reflect his image in the earth. “And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” Rev. 12:17.
Satan’s war against the woman reflects his enmity against the Holy Spirit (feminine) whom he first rejected when She was revealed in Heaven as the Father’s helpmeet to reveal the Son’s authority in Heaven.
Being second in the order of creation, Eve’s revelation in the Image of God prefigured the future prophetic revelation of the Holy Spirit Herself as a separate Person from the Father and the Son; therefore She was the object of Satan’s wrath. All of her daughters from Eve to this day have been held captive and their image corrupted by Satan through putting the responsibility for the original sin upon Eve to conceal the fact that it was he alone who was the instigator of the FIRST sin against the Holy Ghost for which there is no forgiveness.
With every succeeding generation since HIS fall, his cunning in concealing 3
the identity of the Holy Spirit as FEMININE, has become more subtle as evidenced by the exclusively masculine concept of the Trinity, particularly in the Chrisitian and Moslem worlds. The propagation of this concept is the ultimate “put down” of the woman in Heaven (Rev. 12:1) and earth (Rev. 12:17) with the result: an unbalanced IMAGE of God–the Holy Spirit “made into the image of corruptible man (Satan).” Rom. 1:23.
In taking the form of sinful man, the Second Adam, Who knew no sin, became sin for us. He was the first representative of the Father (masculine) and the Holy Spirit (feminine) on earth, to reveal Their Image, in ONE Person (male and female). Secondly, He came to reveal Satan, who was originally created in the Image of God in ONE person, an heavenly Adam, male and female.
Since his fall Satan has maintained, “as” an angel of light, as near as possible, his own image of the Son in a strictly masculine image and will attempt to counterfeit the second coming, as the Son of man, by appearing with a counterfeit message as an “angel of light” revealing only a masculine image of God; whereas the message of the Angel of Revelation 18:1 explodes this erroneous theory and reveals another Adam (Eve), the feminine Image of God the Holy Spirit.
In the beginning Lucifer was created in the Image of God in glorious perfection and there was no need for reproducing himself (his image) as the number in Heaven was made up and complete. The other angels were also created in God’s Image.
The need for reproducing God’s Image male and female in the first Adam was a result of the depopulation of a third of Heaven’s inhabitants.
Thus was a perfect plan made operative whereby Adam could reproduce God’s Image in the earth through the medium, given to him, his second self, Eve, a spiritual body, in the Image of God,FEMALE.
Through sin the first earthly Adam, too, fell from their perfect state. And after it all, a deliverer was promised Who would come and perfectly represent The God of Heaven “on earth,” male and female, and the Heavenly relationship of the three Heavenly Beings and the angels created in Their Image (Gen. 3:15).
“For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.” Mark 12:25.
There is neither marriage nor giving in marriage in Heaven, neither male and female for the purpose of reproduction, for the perfect number will be made up to replace the fallen angels from the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve, recreated in the Image of God while on earth.
Then, their relationship will be as the angels in heaven not as the marriage relation on earth which was for the propagation of the race to re-populate Heaven.
4
This relationship was beautifully portrayed by the Second Adam Who came in the likeness of sinful “flesh” but Who was Himself without sin through the indwelling of the “Power” of the Spirit–a demonstration to humanity how those born under sin may be re-born of the Spirit to, again, be as God (in Their Image–male and female).
MARY MAGDALENE
Mary Magdalene was His closest disciple and companion on earth. It was she who, though degraded by Satan through men who professed to represent God’s Image on earth, was made perfect in Him, the Second Adam.
She reflected His pure and sinless nature from which a stream of love and mercy flowed for the fallen race. No sacrifice nor act of kindness was too great for her Lord. It was she who anointed His head for burial and washed His feet with her tears of repentance and dried them with her hair in a pure and holy act of love and gratitude (John. 12:3). She became a perfect helpmeet in His ministry to the sick and dying.
It was she who sat at His feet to drink of the “living water” while others were pre-occupied with their daily cares. She was among the last to leave the scene of His dying agony and the very last to leave His tomb. She was also the first disciple to whom He spoke after the resurrection, and before His ascension to Heaven. Hers was the FIRST experience in re-discovery of her missing Lord and she hastened to deliver the resurrection message to the other disciples (John 20:18).
Because of the low esteem in which women were held at that time she was discredited as the first witness of the world’s most glorious event. Due to the prevailing custom it was a man, Peter, whose witness was accepted of the resurrection and qualified him for the title of Pope by Catholic Christians.
The pure and holy sex-free relationship between Mary and the Second Adam was an ensample for those who overcome the world, the flesh, and the devil in the NEW BIRTH experience announced to Nicodemus by the Second Adam (which gives power over sin).
Ironically, it was at the House of Simon, who was guilty of degrading Mary, that she sought to demonstrate her deep love and devotion to the One Who had rescued and made her whole again. She alone of the disciples understood by the power of the Holy Ghost His words about His approaching death. The others were preparing to set Him on the throne as King. Distrusting her own understanding, and for joy at such a thought, Mary broke her alabaster box of precious ointment and poured it upon His head and feet, the fragrance of which filled the house.
It was not strange, then, that the two greatest sinners at the feast, Simon and Judas, were the first to accuse her of being extravagant, hopelessly sinful, unworthy to even touch her Lord: Simon, cured of his dreaded disease of leprosy by the One Who had delivered Mary from his corrupting enslavement
5
and Judas, the thief of the funds used for the needs of the disciples and the poor. Their artful and cunning criticism of her sacrificial generosity toward her Deliverer infected all the disciples with the same spirit, EVEN TO DOUBT His Divinity.
The Master, knowing her motive, explained to her in their presence the meaning of her act and tactfully rebuked Simon and Judas (his only rebuke to Judas).
“Mary knew not the full significance of her deed of love. She could not answer her accusers. She could not explain why she had chosen that occasion for anointing Jesus. THE HOLY SPIRIT HAD PLANNED FOR HER, and she had obeyed His (Her) promptings. INSPIRATION stoops to give no reason. An unseen presence, it (She) speaks to mind and soul, and moves the heart to action. It is its (Her) own justification.”–D.A., p. 560.
Mary was crowned with the gift of Inspiration as an earnest (token) of her forgiveness for past sins and was elevated by the One in Whom dwelt all the fulness (Holy Spirit) of the Godhead bodily.
“Christ told Mary the meaning of her act, and in this He gave her MORE than He received. ‘In that she hath poured this ointment on My body,’ He said, ‘she did it for My burial. ….Verily I say unto you (the men, His disciples)… ‘Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a MEMORIAL of her.’….
“And the Holy Spirit mentions, as evidences of woman’s loyalty to Christ: ‘If she have washed the saints’ feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.’ 1 Tim. 5:10 (Mary, first, washed Jesus’ feet)….
“It was the love of Christ that constrained her. The matchless excellence of the character of Christ filled her soul. That ointment was a SYMBOL of the heart of the giver. It was the outward demonstration of a love fed by heavenly streams (two–Christ and the Holy Spirit) until it overflowed (John 19:34).
“The work of Mary was just the lesson the disciples needed to show them that the expression of their love for Him would be pleasing to Christ.”–D.A., pp. 560, 563, 564, 565.
So it is now!
To the professed followers of this Second Adam, a message is conveyed teaching the SAME LESSON today.
“Looking into the future, the Saviour spoke with certainty concerning HIS GOSPEL. It was to be preached throughout the world. And as far as the gospel extended, Mary’s gift would shed its fragrance, and hearts would be blessed through her unstudied act (the Holy Spirit inspired her to do it).
“…this woman’s deed would be immortalized upon the pages of sacred
6
history. UNTIL TIME (probationary) SHOULD BE NO MORE, that broken alabaster box would tell the story of the abundant love of God for a fallen race.”–D.A., p. 563.
THROUGH HIS GRACE SHE WAS THE FIRST SINNER TO PARTAKE OF HIS DIVINE NATURE in the flesh and become a type of another woman who would rise above the pollution of sin and transgression and the censure and criticism of the professed followers of God to become, in a very special sense, a constant companion to her Redeemer through the intercession of the Holy Spirit and the indwelling Spirit of Prophecy.
“He that hath the BRIDE is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.” John 3:29.
“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a BRIDE adorned for her husband….And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the BRIDE, the Lamb’s wife.” Rev. 21:2, 9.
“And the Spirit and the BRIDE say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” Rev. 22:17.
“Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, AND THE BRIDE OUT OF HER CLOSET (OUT OF HER SECRET CHAMBER).” Joel 2:16.
